It was so beautiful that some of us went on a lunch cruise with a bunch of Canadians.

After loading up on free food and beer, us northerners headed to the upper deck to soak up the sun and get a better view of the river.
Got to reconnect with Steve Dawson who runs Black Hen Music and meet Winnipeg-based Lloyd Peterson, Ruth Moody’s guitarist for the weekend. Not only is Lloyd a great musician and producer, but he also has an impressive collection of shirts. Although it’s hard to see the stitching on the sweet brown pearl snap he’s wearing here, it had wheat stalks on it–very Manitoba prairie.
